By the luck of the draw, two significant films by director William Friedkin are about to be released for home viewing almost simultaneously.
Just out from Warner Bros. for the first time on Blu-ray is Friedkin's 1977 existential thriller "Sorcerer," inspired by Henri-George Clouzot's classic 1953 "The Wages of Fear" and a film that the director feels was both under-appreciated and one of his best.Coming to DVD for the first time on May 27 from Facets is Friedkin's first film, an almost-never-seen documentary called "The People vs. Paul Crump," made for television but never aired.
Take your choice, or see them both.
