The San Diego Padres' outfield will have a new look in 2015.

A day after finalizing a deal to acquire Matt Kemp from the Dodgers, the Padres announced a trade for slugger Justin Upton of the Atlanta Braves, the Associated Press reported.

The Braves would receive a group of prospects for Upton as part of the reported deal. Pitcher Max Fried, shortstop Jace Peterson and third baseman Dustin Peterson are among the players who were discussed to be part of the trade, according to the Associated Press.

Upton, 27, heads back to the National League West after playing two seasons with the Braves. He was traded to Atlanta by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2013. Upton is entering the final year of a $51.5-million contract he signed with Arizona in 2010.

The two-time All-Star batted .270 with 29 home runs and 102 RBIs for the Braves last season.

Upton is the latest big name to be acquired this Padres this week. In addition to Kemp, San Diego landed 2013 American League Rookie of the Year Wil Myers in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays.
